If you have previously installed the Demo Edition of The Property Manager, it may be that when you were interrupted and cancelled out in some fashion the registry was not updated. This does appear to be the case because the system is asking for SB30 when it should be asking for SBRTS30.

We also occasionally encounter this problem with Windows 2000 and Windows XP if the user's security settings are such that our installer cannot change a registry entry, which we need to do when you install the package after having the demo edition installed.

The easiest way to proceed is as follows (I am assuming you are using Windows 98,2000, or XP. The instructions are a bit different for other versions of Windows):

(1) Right-click on the desktop The Property Manager icon, and select "open with" from the drop down menu. If your version of Windows gives you a sub-menu with choices for the "open with", then select the "choose program" choice

(2) In the resulting requester, click on the "other" or "find other" or "find program" button (depending on how it is labeled). This will give a file requester naming programs. From the directory drop-down menu at the top of this requester, browse into the folder C:\SB30

(3) Select the program called SBRTS30.exe. Choose to "Open" it. The requester will close. Then, check the box labeled "always use this program to open this type of file" in the Open With requester. Select "OK" on that requester, and you are done.
