Why does it do this?

I have been playing around with the demo program. I am running it with the double entry turned off.

When I do this, if I specify a deposit or a withdraw for any of the accounts, I see them on the screen to the left of all te command buttons after I make the transaction.

But when I do a deposit or a withdraw for the undeposited funds account I don't see the transaction on the screen.

Two questions. First, how do I make the transactions go away on the left side of the screen on the other accounts and second why don't they appear on the undeposited funds screen?
